Elena Kuzheleva soprano
Elena Kuzheleva was born in Odessa, Ukraine. It was there that she began her music studies. First at the P. S. Stoliarski special music school, then at the A. V. Nejdanova Music Academy where she studied in two faculties: music theory on the one hand, solo singing on the other. Elena defended her thesis and wrote numerous articles on Erik Satie. She also taught at the Odessa Conservatory (A. V. Nejdanova Music Academy). She studied choral singing at the V. S. Popov Academy in Moscow in the class of Professor Svetlana G. Nesterenko (Coach of the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow) and she participated in Mariella Devia's masterclasses in Rome.
Elena performed as a soloist at the Odessa Philharmonic Theater. Since 2013 she has worked at the Odessa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater. In 2014, Elena also worked at Lviv (Lemberg) National Opera, and since 2015 she cooperated with the Odessa Philharmonic under the direction of Hobart Earle (Soloist and Head of Musical Unit).
Elena's operatic roles on stage include Norina (Don Pasquale), Papagena (The Magic Flute), Gilda (Rigoletto), Adina (L'elesir d'amore), Serpina (La serva padrona), Ilia (Idomeneo) , Zaïde (Zaïde).
Elena participated in numerous festivals in Vienna (“Bal Viennois”), in the United States “Northern Lights”, in Luxembourg “Festival de Wiltz”, in Armenia “Renaissance”, in Monaco “Le Grand Bal Masqué Vénitien” under the patronage of Prince Albert of Monaco, in France “Voix des Merveilles”. She performs for 7 Concerts with “Wiener Residenzorchester” in Vienna (Palais Auersperg, 2019). During 2019 to 2021 Elena produced 3 different programs with the works of Mozart in Germany (Aachen): “Homage an Mozart”, “In love with Mozart”, “Mozart. Harmony of the World. Elena Kuzheleva is the author of the project entitled “The Vienna Musical Express”.
She regularly participates in chamber music projects with renowned artists including, among others: Igor Fedorov, Roman Lopatynskyi, Alexandre Ghindin, Yuriy Martynov, Aleksey Semenenko, Manon Galy, Jorge González Buajasán, the Quartet of the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra.
During the 2021/22 season she participated in the First Gala "Maria Callas Monaco & Awards" under the High Patronage H.S.H. of the Prince of Monaco (Monte-Carlo), at the European Heritage Days in Nice (“Passion Music”). In March 2022, Elena moved to France.
The 2022/23 season began with a tour in the Netherlands (6 concerts) and continues with concerts in Switzerland, Austria, Monaco and France.
